A Deal a Day in The Strip District

If your wallet is feeling a bit light, but you still want to have some fun and do your part in supporting the local economy, Living Pittsburgh recommends heading on over to The Strip District…with a great deal highlighted below all seven days of the week!

Relinquish a few of your precious dollars in the Strip and not only will your money go a long way, but did you know this? Spending $100 in neighborhood independent businesses creates $68 in additional local economic activity, while spending $100 at a chain produces only $43 worth of local impact.*

The 3/50 Project, a website that supports local brick and mortar businesses nationwide, arms it’s backers with that fact, and then asks that everyone spend just $50 a month at locally owned businesses. Living Pittsburgh likes this plan. We really, really like it! Why? Because one person can definitely make a difference when each person actually follows though with actions instead of talk.

Now we all know the The Strip is known for the great deals of it’s eclectic street vendors, and they certainly do get big Living Pittsburgh kudos, but how about we take a look at some great deals in store each day of the week in this wonderful neighborhood….inside! While you’re in the area, take advantage of some sales at the various Strip shops, and be sure to stop in Wholey’s, where they’ll tell you how to cook an entire nutritious and delicious meal for your family (of 4) for under $10.00!
