“Germanburgh” Pittsburgh Date
If German fare gets your heart pumping, here’s a fun date that’s sure to fill your bellies and your spirits on this fun Sunday date.
First, head to Max’s Allegheny Tavern in Deutschtown. Their German-themed brunch is quite the spread, featuring the standard breakfast staples – eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles & more, plus a made to order omelette station, along with kielbasa, potato pancakes, chef-carved meats, homemade pastries and more. It’s $12.95 per person for all you can eat, so we hope you’re hungry!
After you’ve filled up on food, head over to Hofbrauhaus in the South Side. Most of the non-seasonal beers are $7.75 for a liter mug, which is equivalent to around two pints of draft beer. So have a big German brew with your babe!
Now that you’ve had your meal and some German brews, it’s time to hit up The Cheesecake Factory for (you guessed it) a shared slice of thick German Chocolate Cheesecake! Get it to go and on pick up a German flick at a video store on your way home.
This whole date will only set you back $65 per couple. With loads of food, some German brews, a sweet dessert, and a movie…it’s not a bad deal. Zum Wohl!
Don’t worry about driving or parking – take the bus! Plug your address into Port Authority’s Trip Planner to get a quick, customized route. Getting there couldn’t be easier!
