Description: Enjoy a day of special treats and special demonstrations! The Depreciation Lands Museum, a living history museum and village in Allison Park, invites you to enjoy complimentary ice cream and lemonade at our annual old-fashioned ice cream social. As always, there will be the savory scent of wood smoke from the cooking and baking in
the Armstong cabin and beehive bake oven. The blacksmith and the potter will both be busy creating necessary items for the village, and the Talley Cavey Mercantile will be open for business, offering eighteenth-century toys, clothing, household goods, and more.
In addition, they will feature a special “fleece to shawl” demonstration. Starting with a fleece recently sheared from a sheep, spinners will prepare and spin enough yarn for a weaver to complete a shawl during the afternoon. The shawl will be auctioned to the highest bidder! For additional information, please visit their website.
