Description: Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks’ BYOB (Bring Your Own Bard) Reading Series highlights fans and performers of Shakespeare come together to enjoy an evening of informal readings of their favorite scenes, sonnets, and monologues. Professional actors and non-actors alike take a crack at their favorite Shakespeare pieces. Readers and audience members are encouraged to bring along their favorite Shakespeare monologue, scene, sonnet or song ready to read, or just come to listen and enjoy. Extra readings will be on hand in case last minute inspiration strikes.

Join the “BYOB” (Bring Your Own Bard) Cast & Crew for a sneak-peek of “The Tempest” – Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks’ fall production! Tempest Director Alan Irvine will discuss the play and share his concept for the show. Cast members will be introduced and perform pieces from the play, with audience invited to chime in with their own Shakespeare pieces featuring storms or otherwise unsavory weather.
